Las redes de alta capacidad serán estratégicas en Europa. En estas redes, la tecnología 5G se convertirá en un pilar de la transformación digital de la sociedad y la economía. Una transformación que será transversal y aportará valor y beneficios a distintas industrias, aplicaciones y actividades económicas. Sin embargo, no podemos obviar que estas ventajas llevarán también aparejados retos para la competencia en el ámbito del dominio público radioeléctrico, compartición de infraestructuras y otros aspectos inherentes a la naturaleza de la nueva tecnología 5G.En este artículo analizaremos estos retos y plantearemos recomendaciones.
Abstract
High-capacity networks will be strategic in Europe. In these networks, 5G technology will become a cornerstone of the digital transformation of society and the economy. A transformation that will be transversal and will bring value and benefits to different industries, applications and economic activities. However, we cannot ignore the fact that these benefits will also bring with them challenges for competition in the field of public domain radio, infrastructure sharing and other aspects inherent in the nature of the new 5G technology. In this article we will analyse these challenges and make recommendations.
